Our range of ceramic tiles are handmade and painted using age old traditional techniques. Depending on design, the process begins with rolling out clay and meticulously cutting each tile by hand, or by pouring liquid clay into moulds. After drying and light sanding the tiles are ready for their first firing at 800°C. Once cooled, the bisque tiles are hand painted or sprayed and then fired again at temperatures of around 1150°C. Raku techniques are also used in our custom made kilns. The resulting tiles are a unique, one-of-a-kind art work.
